Moisture Extreme Cream, an open jar in soft studio light

A seasonal note from Theresa

Thin to thick. My fall skin routine.

The routine people ask me about most.

Every fall my skin asks for something a little different. People ask me what I actually use, so here it is, morning and evening. This is my own routine, not a prescription. Everyone's skin is different, and yours will tell you what it needs.

Collagen Renewing Serum

Morning or evening serum

I wet my face and smooth on our Collagen Renewing Serum.

Collagen Renewing Serum is my most recent product for skincare, and it perhaps is one of the best.

We're getting some of the best feedback on this product, and it is great for all types of skin, particularly mature skin, and can be worn morning or evening.

★★★★★
“It has made my skin so very silky and beautiful.”

Face Nourish

Original skin food

Then a few drops of Face Nourish all over, down my neck too.

Face Nourish was my very first product. It has changed slightly over the years, but it is one of our best products available.

Aloe Rose Facial Cleanser

Gentle foaming gel

I love our Aloe Rose Facial Cleanser most of the year. It's a gentle foaming gel.

Cream or bar cleansers are also great.

Extremely gentle, but removes mascara instantly.

Vitamin C Serum

Evening serum

While my face is still damp, I pat in our Vitamin C Serum and let it soak in.

We recommend evening application. If you use Vitamin C Serum during the day, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

“The product is light, adds moisture without a greasy residue.”

Face Nourish

Original skin food

When sun, cold or dry air leave my skin thirsty, I press a tiny amount of Face Nourish over just the dry spots.

The one rule I teach everyone

Thin to thick.

ThinThick

Thin to thick. Whatever brand you use, put on the thinnest product first and the thickest last. Serums go on first. A silky serum or oil can't sink into skin that's already covered in a thick cream. And more isn't better: stack too many layers and they just sit on the surface and leave skin feeling heavy.

Keep it simple

Ultra Eye Treatment

Light under-eye cream

Ultra Eye is our under-eye treatment. It's extraordinarily light and fluffy, so it won't drag down sensitive skin under the eye.

A very tiny amount is all that is needed right under the eye after all the other products are on your skin.

You could use it on the upper lip also if that area is dry. A little bit will do you.

Moisture Extreme Cream

For dry patches

Moisture Extreme Cream is an excellent product. A tiny bit will do. It is especially great for extremely parched or dry areas.

Only need a tiny bit of this. It is wonderful to add to a simple routine. Usually spot treatment only.

“This is great everyday - absorbs nicely, leaving skin soft without being greasy.”

Neroli Hydrolat

Midday mist

Neroli Hydrolat is the favorite hydrosol. It has a delicious scent of the orange blossom, really yummy smelling and great for any type of skin.

Ideal for an afternoon pick-me-up, just to make your skin glow. It's a water, but it does come from the orange blossom.

Exfoliate gently.

Exfoliation matters more as we get older, but every skin has to find its own way. Sensitive skin can't take what other skin can. A vitamin C serum, or a fruit-enzyme serum like our Pumpkin Enzyme Serum, used properly, can smooth skin without any scrubbing. Other skin does well with gentle physical exfoliation. Always moisturize gently afterward and don't overdo it. Some skin likes it a few times a week, some only once a month.

The gift of a good facial.

Explore your own facial care, or pamper yourself with a professional session.

A good facial keeps skin primed. Once a month or once a season is ideal. It's deeply cleansing, it leaves your skin looking fresh and awake, and it gives you an hour to truly unwind. Ask for gentle, always. Never let anyone be aggressive with extractions.

No two routines are the same.

Winter skin is different from summer skin. Young skin is different from older skin. Fine-pored skin is different from oily skin. Dry, sensitive, mature, bearded: every skin has its own needs and its own way of applying things. And what we eat shows up on our skin at every age. That's why we make different cleansers, serums, oils and creams, so there's something natural waiting for everyone.
